If ever there was a “who to watch for” in Canadian jazz, this is the one. Caity Gyorgy (pronounced George) is a two-time JUNO award–winning Canadian vocalist who is known for singing bebop and swing music.
The Medicine Hat JazzFest is in its 27th year of bringing the best in jazz to south-eastern Alberta. We feature local, Canadian and international artists, presented in unique venues throughout our city that put our audiences in close proximity to the music and creates an atmosphere of fun and intimate connection to the artists.
With a mixture of free and ticketed, concert hall, club and outdoor events as well as dance parties, the Medicine Hat JazzFest brings a wide scope of programming to our beautiful city along the picturesque south Saskatchewan River that is geared to all ages, with a focus on community and celebration.
